If a Job Can't Be Done Safely, It Won't Be Done!

"Your jobs are the cleanest and safest, I've ever seen!" - A Construction Safety Professional, with 30+ Years Experience

Nothing we do is more important than protecting our customers and our people. If a job can't be done safely, it won't be done.

Visit any Trinidad Job Site, and you'll see the difference, immediately.

Trinidad's leadership team has executed projects in some of the most critical construction environments: Surgery Suites and Intensive Care Units, Nuclear Power Plants, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plants, National Laboratories. We've drawn from this experience to develop one of the industries most stringent and comprehensive Safety Programs!

Every day at every Job Site, as well as the Trinidad Offices we start with a Safety Huddle, and Daily Job Safety Analysis. What are we doing today? What are the risks? What can we do to mitigate those risks?

What is the worst thing that could possibly happen today? We ask this question, so that everyone understands just how critical safety is, every day, on every job!

Throughout the day, every situation is thoroughly examined, multiple times, in advance of work, and continually reassessed to ensure that work is being executed in the safest manner possible.

Trinidad has a weekly Superintendent Safety Meeting, and Monthly Safety Committee meeting, all directed by our Corporate Safety Manager.

Diversity - It's Our Mission!

We believe that our employees, subcontractors, suppliers and business partners should be representative of the communities in which we are honored to serve. Owned by a Hispanic American, Trinidad Construction has a firm understanding of the importance of creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds and communities. Trinidad Construction is a fully certified Minority Owned Business Enterprise, by the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, and the State of Illinois.

Change the Face of Construction, that is our mission! As we've grown, Trinidad has shifted it's focus from Success to Significance. Where can we make an impact? Where do we have influence?

The construction industry and trades are historically underrepresented in regard to minority and female involvement. It's as much about a lack of awareness, as it has been about opportunity. How can we change that?

Trinidad's President, Brian Ortiz, is a Board Member of Hire 360 Chicago - an organization created to create diversity within the construction industry, and union trades, specifically. The Trinidad team is supporting Hire 360's efforts by focusing on Youth Engagement. We are working to create awareness of the great opportunities that exist within the construction industry to inner city minorities and young women, even before they start high school.

Trinidad is an active member of a number of other organizations designed to create more diversity in the industry, and many of our team members serve in a leadership capacity with some of the following organizations:

- HIRE 360 Chicago
- CONSRUCT
- Chicago Public School Mentorship
- Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council (CMSDC)
- Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA)
- Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- Little Village Chamber of Commerce

A Tradition of Latino Construction Entrepreneurs

Brian Ortiz grew up in the Construction industry. His great-grandfather, Trinidad Ortiz and grandfather migrated to the United States from Mexico and started a Mechanical Service Company on Chicago's South East side.

Later, his father, a Union Pipefitter, started his own Mechanical Contracting business, which was involved in some of Chicago's most high profile projects in the 1980's and 1990's. Consistent with his family's entrepreneurial spirit, Brian branched out and created Trinidad Construction. Trinidad was created to provide an opportunity to work directly with excellent clients throughout the United States.

Culture - It's all about the People!

If you haven't figured it out yet, Trinidad is all about the PEOPLE!

We believe that we can be most successful, if we put Team above Self.

Trinidad has a No Ceilings approach to our collective and individual opportunities. You can go as far as you want to go, and if we have a team of like-minded people, we will continue to be successful, continue to grow!

Trinidad will change people's lives, starting with our employees. In our first ten years of business, we've already seen the amazing impact our business can have on our employees. As we head into our next decade, we want to use this business as a vehicle to change other's lives as well. We can make an impact, and we will be significant!

Trinidad Construction is a fun and exciting place to be right now. We are a young, quickly growing company. Our employees and their families should be proud of where they work. We promote an energetic and stimulating work environment.

Employees understand that there are growth opportunities within the organization and come to work each day feeling challenged and excited.
